Bin Day

Privacy

Bin Day stores postcode searches and selected address results so repeat lookups are faster and more reliable.

Information we store

When you use Bin Day, we may store the postcode, address, council area, and bin collection dates needed to show your results. This helps avoid repeated requests to council websites.

If you use the mobile app and turn on reminders, we store a device push token, the saved address schedule, reminder time, and reminder status. We use this to send bin day reminders to your device.

How we use it

We use this information to show bin collection dates, keep saved schedules up to date, and send reminders when you ask for them. We also use cached lookup data to make the service faster and reduce load on council websites.

Notifications

Mobile reminders use Apple, Google, and Firebase notification services. These services receive the technical information needed to deliver a notification to your device.

You can turn off Bin Day notifications in your phone settings.

What we do not do

We do not sell your address or reminder data. We do not use it for advertising.
